As a kid, Ricky says he always had a spark for food. He loved cooking with his grandmother when he was a child. Ricky started working in the kitchen at the young age of 14 as a dishwasher, and soon moved into his first cooking position at a family owned restaurant in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland. He immediately fell in love with the art and process of cooking, and learned a lot about Seafood from a chef named John Kozik, whom he still speaks with to this day. For the next 15 years, Ricky gained experience working in a number of high-end restaurants. Ricky then decided to further his education with a Culinary degree, and graduated from Baltimore International College in December 2011. He went on to gain some international experience in Ireland, before returning to the U.S. and entering the club world. He was the lead line cook here at Addison Reserve from 2014-2018, before pursuing his growth at a neighboring club. Ricky rejoined the team here in 2022, and is currently the Chef de Cuisine. We're glad to have him back!
