Born in Cape Town, South Africa, Chef Taufeeq developed a passion for cooking at the young age of nine years old. He started working part-time in kitchens at 15, and after completing his culinary & patisserie certification at City and Guilds, he moved on to work in some high-profile hotels and restaurants across Cape Town and the East coast of S.A. In 2011, Taufeeq made the bold move away from home, to travel & work in America on a seasonal program. Taufeeq joined the team here at Addison in 2011, starting as a line cook, and progressed up the ranks from there to currently, Sous Chef.
